Kristen Falso-Capaldi’s short story “I Can’t Hear You” was chosen as a top-25 finalist in the 2015 Glimmer Train Magazine Very Short Fiction Contest. She is the 2015 winner of the Victoria Hudson Emerging Writer Prize. Her story “The Absence of Cows” recently won first place in See the Elephant magazine’s New Voices Contest, and her story “Something Else Happened” was selected for the Editors’ Pick Award in the Fabula Press Aestas 2015 Short Story Contest. Her writing has also appeared in Good Housekeeping, Volume 1 Brooklyn, Ripen the Page, Jenny Magazine, Joyland, the FlashDogs anthologies, Chicago Literati, Underground Voices , 3Elements Review and on The Other Stories Podcast. Her short play, Threshold was one of five plays featured in the 2016 Sandra Feinstein Gamm Theatre 10-minute play festival. She also co-wrote a screenplay, Teachers: The Movie, which was an official selection for the 2014 Houston Comedy Film Festival. She is currently working on a novel. She lives in Rhode Island, USA.
